Entry Qualifications

Central Taiwan University of Science and Technology (CTUST) welcomes students from all over the world. Entry requirements vary according to the program of study, so it is important that you make sure you are eligible to apply as an International Student.

Our entry requirements abide by the “MOE Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan” and the flowchart of qualification. Read them carefully before you apply.

Violation of any of the above-mentioned regulations will result in immediate cancellation of the applicant’s admission; the deprivation of the applicant’s recognized status as a CTUST registered student, or revocation of the applicant’s CTUST diploma. No academic certificate will be given.

• International students with a high school diploma are eligible to apply for undergraduate studies at CTUST; Bachelor’s degree for Master’s programs;

Master’s degree for PhD programs

• Most of the courses in CTUST are instructed in Chinese. Applicants are expected to have sufficient listening, speaking, reading, and writing ability in Chinese language. (Expect for those who are taking courses in the English speaking international programs.)

• International students transfer to undergraduate programs should apply to attend the Transfer Exams of Spring Semester held by CTUST and the Joint Transfer Exam held by the Committee of private medical universities. However, international students whose student status is discontinued by the University because of misconduct, poor academic results or criminal offences, are not allowed to apply for transferring to CTUST. Postgraduate students are not allowed to transfer to CTUST.
